DREAMSELF
Dreamself is the third studio album from Kate Lucas aka Coda Chroma and celebrates the liminal space between awake and asleep, where stories unfold through abstraction and try to make sense of experiences and situations.
Dreamself plays with shadows and light in a landscape where fragile introspection is at home alongside upbeat jangle-pop, and synthetic sounds mess around with acoustic instrumentation. Matched with the immaculate work of producer Damien Charles, the album features a string ensemble, swirling layers of synthesisers, a driving rhythm section and ethereal backing vocals by Natalie Lewis.
INSIDE THE STILL LIFE
Coda Chroma's 2nd album is a major progression from the debut album. Her sophisticated pop sensibility only partially disguises a more intense, brooding, and existential underbelly on this double album. Teaming up once again with producer Damien Charles, this beautifully diverse set of songs creates a metaphysical listening experience.

Coda Chroma’s self-titled debut album lays out a wonderfully vast landscape, from the darkly empathic opening track “Camera” to the muscular chromatic pop of “Fishing Line,” the smouldering soul confession that is “No One But You” all the way to the woozy, hypnotic finale “Indian Summer,” we are led through a kaleidoscopic world that shimmers with flecks of gold and grit.
